| Description: | From 33rd annual Sheepshearing Festival Website: The festival features both traditional manual blade sheep shearing in addition to electric sheep shearing. Afterwards, the sheep fleeces are collected and sold. Our Leicester longwool sheep are sheared the traditional way with other sheep brought in for the electric shearing.
Our fiber tent area offers dozens of fiber artists specializing in wool yarn, roving, knitting kits, and finished wool products. Some even bring animals or special demonstrations.
Don't miss the popular sheepherding demonstrations with border collies on the South Lawn.
Our crafter area will have up to 75 booths with artisans selling handmade goods!
After viewing shearing demonstrations and shopping, join us on a tour of the mansion (additional fee), watch the historic re-enactors, listen to live music, take a wagon ride (additional fee), and more!
