The Bread and Roses Heritage Committee organizes the Bread and Roses Heritage Festival, a celebration of the ethnic diversity and labor history of Lawrence, Massachusetts. This annual festival takes place on Labor Day in honor of the most significant event in Lawrence history: the 1912 Bread and Roses Strike.

In addition to the Festival, the Bread and Roses Heritage Committee sponsors and supports a wide range of labor and social justice causes and initiatives, in the spirit of "Bread and Roses," that is, the right to fair wages, good working and living conditions, respect, and enjoyment.
