The dates for the Old Home Day weekend celebration are Saturday, September 1 through Labor Day on Monday, September 3.
Included in the planned activities will be a Concert on Saturday, followed by a Fireworks display. Sunday will mark the Alumni celebration dinner and on Labor Day, plans are in the works for a Craft Fair, Art Show, Flower Show, Car Show, Lumberjack Contest, and Frog Jumping Contest. The Charlton Common will be loaded with displays of Crafts, Food and Merchandise, along with informational booths with educational materials for the community at large.
Monday morning will feature the Annual Soap Box Derby as well as the Annual Charlton Road Race, which in the past has had over 350 runners. During the day, Bands and Singers will fill the air with music to entertain the guests. Of course, the common will be filled with a multitude of Booths with Crafters, Free Information, Community Organizations, and Commercial Booths with items for sale. There will be plenty of food and fun!
The finale of the day will include community awards for citizenship as well as the Grand Parade through Charlton Center.
